Storyboarding example - Teaching children to control emotions

Short Summary: The Donkey's Tale: A Lesson in Restraint

In a quiet village, life is simple until a demon stealthily unties a donkey from a tree. The freed donkey wreaks havoc on a farmer’s crops, prompting the farmer's wife to shoot it. This sparks a brutal chain of revenge: the donkey’s owner kills the farmer’s wife, the farmer kills the donkey’s owner, and the donkey owner’s family retaliates by burning the farmer's home. The tragedy culminates with the farmer killing the remaining family members.

In the aftermath, the broken farmer confronts the demon, demanding answers. The demon simply replies, “I did nothing. I only released the donkey.” It explains that while it merely triggered a small act, it was the uncontrolled ego and reactions of the people that led to chaos.

Moral of the Story:

"Restraint is wisdom. Reacting without pause allows the devil within us to take over."

The tale illustrates how unchecked ego and impulsive reactions escalate minor incidents into devastating consequences. The demon didn't commit the evil; it merely set the stage. The true destruction was caused by human overreaction, vengeance, and pride. The story urges us to pause, think, and act with restraint—because many times, the "devil" just opens the gate, but we are the ones who run wild.
